Based in our Watford office, this newly created role is part of a team developing and implementing the broadcast asset management and procurement strategies of the group. This will be supported by high quality asset management & procurement policies, systems and practices to achieve optimal return on investment and effective deployment of Gravity Media’s equipment portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Procurement & Assets Co-ordinator
Assist in the development of and support the implementation of GM's asset management plans, monitor and report on performance to optimise the value of the asset portfolio.
Determine efficient and cost-effective asset allocation to achieve optimal return on investments whilst reducing costs.
Identification, analysis and recommendation of asset procurement, upgrade and resale.
Procurement of new assets for GM, ensuring beneficial commercial terms are agreed.
Management of procurement budgets and delivery schedules.
Support the implementation of and promote adherence to effective asset management principles across the organisation.
Contribute to defining appropriate frameworks, processes and standards to be applied to the acquisition and disposal of assets, ensuring compliance with financial, legal and commercial principles.
Facilitate the development and implementation of appropriate business systems to support management of and required MI relating to all broadcast assets in all locations.
Gather and define future business system requirements across all business units.
Provide effective implementation of, and training on, the Asset Management systems to new and existing end users.
Assist in the development of financial models, perform financial analyses and asset management analyses, and recommend appropriate strategies.
Driving a greater commercial appreciation for protection of asset values in a context where commerciality is still evolving over time.
Help drive down the overall maintenance capex requirement for the business over time .
Help optimise the long-term return on capital employed for the business.
To work with each business unit to ensure consistent and complete usage of IT systems.
Creating a consistent and high level of compliance with asset management policy across all areas of the organisation as a key mainstream management obligation and performance expectation.
Requirements of the Procurement & Assets Co-ordinator
2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Must possess excellent negotiation skills.
Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to develop and implement clarity and structure into a changing environment.
Credible and confident with strong influencing skills and a naturally collaborative style
Solid planning and organisational skills.
Educated to degree level/and or relevant experience.
