Based in our Watford office, the FP&A Analyst will support the Head of FP&A on financial planning and analysis. The role holder will integrate with the rest of the key members of the wider finance team to enable and enhance slick and systematic reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.

General Summary

Based in our Watford office, the FP&A Analyst will support the Head of FP&A on financial planning and analysis. The role holder will integrate with the rest of the key members of the wider finance team to enable and enhance slick and systematic reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes.

This is first FP&A analyst role within the organization and the role and team are expected to develop as the business grows both organically and by acquisition

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Asset utilisation
  • Budgeting process
  • Monthly Business Unit (BU) reporting packs
  • Data gathering and conducting research
  • Contracts work   
  • Ad-hoc support to the finance team
  • Manipulating large volumes of complex information to identify issues.
  • Key Asset utilisation project
  • Assisting the FP&A Manager in preparing and delivering the Budget & Forecasting process.
  • Develop financial models and other analytical tools that provide management with the instruments to interrogate the performance of the business
  • Conduct research into areas such as the awarding of sporting rights
  • Maintaining a contracts database

Demonstrable Experience

  • Post graduate (2+ years)
  • Part qualified (CIMA preferably)
  • Graduate level qualification (minimum 2:1 classification, preferably Mathematics or Statistics background)

Required Skills, Abilities, Soft Skill Factors

  • Advanced Excel skills - experienced in creating, handling, adapting and operating large and complex Excel models and functions (offset, macros etc)
  • Highly numerate with experience of quality checking
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong relationship management and presentation skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
