A prestigious event on the international tennis calendar, The WTA Tour Championships are held at the conclusion of the women’s WTA Tour every season. In 2013, the tournament finals were held in Istanbul, Turkey. It featured three current or former World number ones, four Grand Slam champions and three Grand Slam finalists.
Gravity Media provided a full turnkey solution with production and technical unilaterals for all three years of host coverage held in Instanbul. A team of specialists were assembled to design and implement a high performance broadcast system.
The Outside Broadcast (OB) solutions provided flexibility and uniterupted coveraged of live tennis. Our units combined production talents and technical crews with a wealth of knowledge in sports technical production. Our solutions were tailored to the venue specifications.
Istanbul’s Sinan Erdem Dome was equipped with ten Hitachi SK-HD 1200E camera channels, two Sony HDC-3300 Super slo-mo cameras, three EVS XT2 servers, Snell Sirius 128 router, Yamaha M7CL Audio Console and Sony MVS-6530 Vision Switcher.
Gravity Media delivered seamless live coverage. The production of this event built on our portfolio of elite level tennis including all four Grand Slams, ATP 1000, 500 and 250s, The Fed Cup, Davis Cup and Laver Cup.
We provided multilateral broadcast provisions across all tournaments and have a specialist camera division who have remastered the coverage in it’s prime format.
