The Masked Singer is a global smash hit celebrity singing competition. An unmissable family show, which feature celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is disguised head-to-toe in an elaborate costume to conceal their identity. With each sensational performance, the host, panellists, viewers and even the other contestants are left guessing who is singing behind the mask. Gravity Media worked with Warner Bros. to produce this light entertainment show which was broadcast on Network 10.
Gravity Media was the Media Facilities Company on this project working with Warner Bros. International Television Production Australia, one of Australia’s largest and most exciting production companies, producing award-winning television for audiences both here in Australia and around the world. Gravity Media provided a range of services including an outside broadcast truck, HD 6, a multi-purpose, double expanding supertrucks offering versatile production facilities, with dedicated vision, engineering, VTR and audio areas. The trucks can easily accommodate 32 staff in climate-controlled comfort. The Gravity Media technical team also provided a 16 camera set up, EVS services and a events comms system. The Gravity Media team was also able to overcome COVID related issues providing remote solutions to keep the production rolling.
The Masked Singer Australia wrapped up for season 4, with 955,000 viewers across the country tuning in for the ‘Final Reveal’. Network 10 said the show provided the broadcaster its biggest BVOD (broadcast video on demand) and live stream audiences ever. It said 18,000 people were live-streaming the final episode on 10 Play, up 20% year-on-year. In total across the series, over 39 million minutes were viewed on 10 Play, up 3% from 2021.
