What we do
The Voice, is Australia’s largest, and most successful, singing competition. It’s been described as the purest vocal talent competition ever to be produced, where contestants are chosen purely on their voice and not by appearances. Starting with the signature Blind Auditions, aspiring singers from across the country perform to a live studio audience in the hopes of turning the famous red chairs where four celebrity coaches await. These superstar coaches build their teams of successful auditionees before putting them through high-stakes rounds of performances until one singer is crowned champion. It’s powerful. It’s magical. With every performance leaving a mark on both coaches and audiences alike. The show is produced by ITV Studios Australia.
What we used
Gravity Media Australia worked with the production team from ITV Studios Australia across two locations. The Blind Auditions were held at Carriageworks in Sydney and the Callbacks, Battles, Semi-Final and Grand Final were held at Disney Studios Australia. Outside Broadcast truck HD7 connected to a 11-camera layout featuring Spidercam and Steadicam for Season 12 of the program broadcast on the Seven Network.
Outcome
The Gravity Media team worked with ITV Studios Australia on a total of 18 episodes. The Voice, returned in 2023 with a thrilling new season on Channel 7 and 7plus. Genre-defying global sensation and new Voice coach Jason Derulo joined returning superstar coaches Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian and Jessica Mauboy. One of the most successful formats in the world, the new season of The Voice was hosted by Sonia Kruger and featured jaw-dropping talent and the strongest-ever line-up of artists who competed to be crowned the winner. The Voice was one of Australia’s most-watched entertainment shows in 2022, with 1.39 million viewers nationally and increasing its audience year-on-year.
