What we did

Providers of technical and broadcast facilities for global reality hit I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! for over 15 years, Gravity Media were ideally positioned to meet the unique challenges posed by a COVID-enforced shift to North Wales for the 2020 edition.

The camera setup included five Hitachi SK1200s, 16 Hitachi DKH200s mounted on Mark Roberts Motion Control AFC100 robotic heads and 28 Panasonic HE-103 pan-and-tilt cameras. Using a CyanView control interface allowed us to control the remote cameras on one MRMC universal control panel while audio was routed through a Lawo core backed up with a multilayer failover network.

Outcome

Despite working within strict COVID protocols, we helped I’m A Celebrity’s 20th anniversary edition register its biggest ever launch episode for ITV Studios, who went on to win Entertainment Craft Team of the year at the BAFTA TV Craft Awards 2021.
