AFL Grand Final Season 5

What we did

Gravity Media supported the AFL with a SportsCom Communications solution for their fifth season, our Globecam specialist cameras team delivering breath-taking panoramic views of the AFL Grand Final.

What we used

RF links from the camera helicopter were 2GHz DTC Nano Sol7, teamed with DTC 5W Power Amp into our in-house designed and built antenna actuator system mounted on the skids of the helicopter. The stadium-top receive system included multiple Andrew antennae feeding the DTC ProRXD receiver decoder.

Outcome

Our team provided all the aerial links used on the camera helicopter, receiving a live feed at a link receive station located on the roof of the iconic Optus Stadium in Perth.
