The Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia + WPGA Tour of Australasia

What we do

Gravity Media Australia worked with JAMTV to produce the television coverage of the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and co-sanctioned events with the WPGA Tour of Australasia, 15 tournaments across six months.  JAMTV is the production partner of the PGA of Australia.

What we used

Gravity Media Australia implemented its CelBo Remote Production Workflow, delivering highly mobile cellular broadcast cameras and cloud-based technology linking to the Gravity Media Production Centre in Melbourne, housing the control room and studio, with the virtual set designed by the creative team at Gravity Media. The coverage featured new ball-tracking technology developed by Gravity Media Australia in partnership with TrackMan. This technology allowed Gravity Media Australia and JAMTV to access the TrackMan radar systems and deliver its iconic ball tracking lines as part of the broadcast.

Outcome

This was the fifth season for Gravity Media Australia’s broadcast facilities collaboration with JAMTV which produced the PGATV coverage across Foxtel and Kayo Sports in Australia and Sky Sport in New Zealand. The integration of TrackMan with Gravity Media’s CelBo cellular remote broadcast capabilities was a first for Australian television.
