Stawell Gift

What we did

For the landmark 140th staging of the Stawell Gift, the oldest and most lucrative short-distance running race in Australia, Gravity Media again provided three days of broadcasting for local network 7plus across the Easter weekend. Run on grass, the race has been held since 1878 in the country town of Stawell, some three hours from Melbourne in the Victorian Grampian Mountains.

What we used

Broadcasting from Stawell requires significant logistical and technical effort but Gravity Media were able to provide a true turnkey solution from production to outside broadcast with a specialised team deployed on-site for three days.

Outcome

Delivering another ratings winner across Australian markets, Gravity Media supplied a dyanmic 24-hour livestream alongside a three-hour broadcast for the Easter Monday holiday which combined vivid race coverage with live interviews and specially created backstory films.
