Our Livecentre is the connectivity hub which connects all of our Dutch facilities and studios, enabling enrichment, live ingest for further processing in the Gravity Media post environment or simply QC control on live feed before sending to broadcaster’s end control or MCR for live on air. Our remote production galleries are integrated in our Livecentre infrastructure to enable flexible production workflows, either through the 2110 uncompressed ‘diPloy’ philosophy used to several daily live shows or through our compressed low-latency smart remote production setup which is especially suited for lower tier sports productions.
Next to its local hub functionality with direct access to national broadcaster hubs, Livecentre together with our Belgian (Vilvoorde) based systems are also responsible for the 24/7 live sourcing services of all live sports content for two of the biggest sports broadcasters in the Benelux region: ZiggoSport, ESPN and Playsport. Together we operate a geo-redundant downlink farm for traditional satellite sourcing and are fibre connected to several worldwide providers (Tata, Eurovision, Lumen) for growing volume of IP multicast delivery alongside the popular delivery methods SRT, RIST, Zixi etc.
Through our London hub we have quick and direct access to Europe’s main hub at BT Tower and to our remote galleries in London. Our London Hub also offers direct connectivity to our Manchester operation, and with a multitude of network providers, easy access to anywhere in the world. It can also serve as a DR site for any and all of our operations.
