Gravity Media Australia is once again proud to have partnered with the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia and the Seven Network to deliver coverage of the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.

The coverage delivered a peak national audience of 1.349 million viewers and also scored a total audience reach of 2.162 million Australians catching all or part of the coverage across Seven and 7mate as more than 100 boats, including four 100-foot maxis, set off from Sydney harbor for the 78th edition of the Rolex Sydney Hobart on Boxing Day.

Gravity Media Australia worked in partnership with the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia and the Seven Network in the production of the telecast across Seven, 7mate and 7plus.

Gravity Media Australia created and produced the complete telecast including on-board cameras on maxis Andoo Comanche and SHK Scallywag, along with on-water chase boat cameras and live helicopter coverage.

A highlight of the Gravity Media Australia coverage was Olympic Silver Medallist Lisa Darmanin’s live commentary and reporting from Andoo Comanche during the hectic start and fleet jockeying for position before jumping off the boat live on television as Andoo Comanche began its journey to Hobart.
