ROLE OVERVIEW

We have a rare opportunity for a Technical Assistant to join our Gravity Media team in Sydney and be part of our growing business!

This is a full-time role based in Sydney with opportunities to travel across Australia, providing exposure to a diverse range of exciting projects.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Technical Assistant to join our team in Mascot in Sydney.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Technical Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with all technical and operational aspects of allocated projects;
  • Ensure necessary equipment is sourced in advance to match the technical requirements of each rostered project;
  • Assist drivers with park and power, setting up of the trucks and unloading broadcast equipment;
  • Assist broadcast crew to locate and set-up equipment during rig and broadcast activities when required;
  • Be the main onsite point of contact for the Asset & Logistics team;
  • Conducting regular quality checks on equipment and performing ongoing preventative maintenance;
  • Reporting on damaged and malfunctioning equipment;
  • Some general warehouse maintenance duties.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role you will be a proactive team player who can work autonomously and have:

  • Genuine interest in a career in Broadcasting;
  • Willingness to get hands dirty and learn;
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
