Santos Festival of Cycling

What we did

We managed multiple vision and audio feeds from across large-scale coverage of the 2022 Santos Festival of Cycling, including six Stages, the Criterium and the Adelaide Track League event at Adelaide Super-Drome. All camera and audio was then sent to the downstream gallery at Gravity Media’s Production Centre in Sydney who curated a world-class broadcast for 7Plus.

What we used

Nine remote cameras delivered footage via 4G-bonded technology with extenders – one in a helicopter and two on motorbikes. This meant no outside broadcast trucks on-site and a minimal site footprint allowing for less rig/de-rig time and more efficient crew hours between the stages.

Outcome

Gravity Media’s production was broadcast continuously to a worldwide audience on 7plus across eight days of racing, while our post-production and design team at the Sydney Production Centre crafted an extra highlights program for broadcast on the Seven Network.
