As Blyth Spartans and Wrexham battled it out in two fixtures to secure their place in the FA Cup, Gravity Media was at the heart of the action.
For the first leg, Angus Scott presented the dramatic coverage from a sold-out Croft Park, with Welsh international striker Hal Robson Kanu and Newcastle legend Steve Watson.
Following the very last-minute draw ending 1-1, where Gravity Media produced the 4th qualifying round for ESPN, the Gravity Media team then headed to Wrexham FC the following Tuesday. On-site at Wrexham FC, the team deployed our UK based outside broadcast truck Pictor to capture the replay match with a set-up of seven-line cameras and three RF presentation positions.
The Gravity Media team based at their Production Centre in Manchester also played a pivotal role in producing the live OB coverage from Wrexham’s ground. Reporting live on the anticipated action, saw ex-player Joe Thompson whilst presenter Kelly Somers commentated pitch side joined by Hal Robson Kanu and Rob Earnshaw.
Wrexham FC won 3-2 against Blyth Spartans, meaning that Wrexham secured their place in the first round of the FA Cup.
