Gravity Media Australia in partnership with Supercars Media has hosted this year’s Supercars Media Day at Gravity Media’s Production Centre in Sydney.
25 drivers competing in this year’s Repco Supercars Championship joined Gravity Media, Supercars Media and its broadcast partners at the Production Centre for a day of video production to create elements to be used across Supercars’ broadcast and social media platforms and the specific production requirements for Supercars’ broadcast partners: FOX Sports, Kayo, the Seven Network and 7plus.
This is the eleventh year for Gravity Media Australia’s broadcast facilities and technology collaboration with Supercars Media which produces the global and Australian television coverage of the Repco Bathurst 1000 and the Repco Supercars Championship. As part of this partnership, Supercars Media and Gravity Media Australia access internationally acknowledged specialist and in-car camera technologies designed and developed by Gravity Media Australia.
Gravity Media deployed its production studios and “breakaway” areas to provide a seamless solution as 25 drivers were moved in a relay and rotation from staged multiple camera studio settings to green-screen and LED screen settings coupled with separate studio areas for photography across the production day. The Production Centre provided resources and complete production facilities for Supercars Media and for the unilateral requirements for FOX Sports and the Seven Network in the production of major video elements to be used across the coverage of this year’s Repco Supercars Championship.
This is Gravity Media’s second Supercars Media Day for Supercars Media. Building on the success of the 2022 Media Day for Supercars Media’s production requirements, this year took another step and was a first in bringing together the drivers and teams, Supercars Media, and its broadcaster partners FOX Sports and the Seven Network, in the one place to deliver all specific production elements for Supercars Media and the individual requirements of its broadcast partners. The successful delivery of the Supercars Media Day underlined the flexibility of Gravity Media’s Production Centre in Sydney in delivering a seamless multiple studio and technology set-up to deliver specific and tailored content and production outcomes for Supercars Media, FOX Sports and the Seven Network.
