APL A-Leagues Studio Production

Australia

JAMTV / APL A-Leagues

What we do

EMG/Gravity Media Australia collaborated with JAMTV to produce football content for the APL A-Leagues, operating as production partners. The project was delivered from the EMG/Gravity Media Production Centre in Sydney, which became a hub for the studio production workflow.

What we used

The Production Centre Sydney is a purpose-built facility that supported all aspects of the A-Leagues studio production. It houses two large HD studios, each measuring 10 metres by 10 metres with a height of 3.1 metres. Studio B features a dedicated 9-metre by 2.4-metre LED wall, enhancing the visual impact of the broadcasts. The studios include a permanent set that can be configured either as a formal sports panel desk or a more relaxed couch setup, depending on the show’s format.
Supporting spaces such as a make-up room, green room, fully equipped control rooms, and a master control room, ensured smooth operations. The technical setup included HD studio pedestal cameras, floor monitoring, and AutoScript systems. EMG/Gravity Media also supplied the technical crew, providing end-to-end production support.

Outcome

From October to June, EMG/Gravity Media and JAMTV produced a diverse range of weekly content for both the Men’s and Women’s A-Leagues. This included match previews, studio panel shows, and detailed analysis programs such as Dub Zone, Total A-Leagues, The Warm Up, and The Tactician. The content was distributed across the A-Leagues website, mobile app, and YouTube channel, reaching a wide audience and enhancing fan engagement throughout the season.
