Aerial Unit

Providing award winning aerial filming with established expertise in co-ordinating aerial projects nationally and internationally.

Our long standing portfolio in the field of aerial filming is constantly evolving as our dedicated in-house aerial unit continues to co-ordinate and film a diverse range of aerial projects world wide.

Since its creation over forty years ago, capability and capacity have increased to position Gravity Media’s aerial unit (formerly Aerial Camera Systems) as a leader in the field with the ability to manage large and small scale events with dedication, skill and quality service provision.

Our extensive experience includes projects of all shapes and sizes, from a two hour shoot over London to the co-ordination of multiple helicopters and flying time delivering all live aerial coverage for Euro 2020(1), Tokyo 2020(1), Beijing 2022, The Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 and The Qatar World Cup 2022.

Whether filming live coverage of sports events in UHD HDR or filming with a RED Cinema camera / lens payload in the Masai Mara, we’re specialists in the field. Our gimbal inventory is also widely used in non-aerial work such as for wirecams, tracking cars, filming boats and railcam installations providing optimum camera / lens payload stabilisation performance in these alternative system applications.

Having conducted shoots in over 70 countries, our highly skilled operational team are acknowledged experts in their profession and our camera crew critically acclaimed, winning over 13 Primetime EMMYs and a BAFTA Craft award between them.
