Rugby

Run straight, run hard.

Thought by some as the ultimate team sport, rugby is game of intense rivalries tempered by mutual and genuine respect.

Gravity Media is both a fan of the game and an avid participant in the industry. We’re totally immersed in the sport, working across both codes in both hemispheres, covering national leagues and international tournaments, and even making documentaries about it.

At the heart of our work is our coverage of live games, where a range of our services come together to deliver full production support packages: consultancy, planning, design, engineering, pre-production, logistics, crewing, infrastructure. At every stage of an assignment, we provide the equipment, the people and the experience to ensure the project lands squarely between the posts. This includes live broadcast services, fast-turnaround highlights and full-time edits, along with scripted, voiced and ready-to-air highlights programmes at the end of each match.
Associated services include providing matchday content at live games, which involves developing eye-catching and brand-building graphics for presentation on the stadium big screens. Distinctive design and branding are vital components of successfully presenting any major live event, and Gravity Media’s multifaceted, multimedia graphics team can help you achieve just that. Elsewhere, we’ve also developed SportsCom™ – a video replay tool and comms system used for judicial replay (TMO), head injury assessment (HIA), and other medical applications, as used by Global Rapid Rugby and Rugby Australia, among others.
Recent rugby projects include supplying the wireless cameras and broadcast equipment for the Six Nations Championship, project management and broadcast equipment for the Rugby World Cup, and live video servers for the World Rugby Sevens series. Meanwhile, a documentary team even accompanied New South Wales Rugby League coach Brad Fittler during the 2019 State of Origin series, offering a unique behind-the-scenes look at both players and staff.
