Delivery to include TOCs, host broadcaster facilities, RF deployment and Fan Engagement zones

EMG / Gravity Media, the recently merged global broadcast services provider, will deliver selected broadcast solutions on behalf of UEFA, including Technical Operations Centres (TOC) and Host Broadcast facilities for the 2024 UEFA European Football Championships, taking place across 10 German cities from 14 June – 14 July 2024.

Prior to the merger, both EMG and Gravity Media successfully delivered technical production solutions at the UEFA EURO for many years. At this year’s tournament, the newly combined global organisation of EMG / Gravity Media will build on this experience to deliver the TOCs and FANTV solution at each of the ten venues. EMG / Gravity Media will provide the team and technical assets to deliver the giant screen experience in the stadiums before, during and after the matches.

The group will provide four OB trucks, including RF equipment (host Steadicam and handheld RF camera coverage) at two of the ten stadiums for matches in Cologne, and Düsseldorf.

In addition, EMG / Gravity Media group will provide live helicopter 1080p HDR aerial coverage for all the EURO matches, from the opening to the Final in Berlin. The six helicopters, all fitted with the latest UHD HDR stabilised camera gimbals will be supported and operated by highly experienced operators. As sustainability is a priority for the group and tournament, all of the regionally sourced helicopters, including pilots and engineers, will also follow EMG / Gravity Media’s carbon offsetting initiative for helicopter filming on the flying hours required to deliver the tournament’s coverage plan.

Eamonn Curtin, Global Client Director of EMG / Gravity Media commented on the announcement:

“The powerful combination of our diverse expertise, equipment and technology will ensure that every eventuality is covered for this prestigious global broadcast event. Broadcasters today need flexibility and choice, whether in budget, format, or project scaling, and we’re confident this year’s EUROs will prove our value as a one-stop shop for any production, whether on-site or remote.”
