DYVI, an EVS brand, delivers true IP-based live production systems for Gearhouse’s UK and Australia operations
Leading broadcast services company Gearhouse Broadcast has selected IP-based production systems from DYVI Live, an EVS company, to enable real-time remote production in the UK and Australia. With one of the largest and most modern fleets of servers in the world, Gearhouse provides live broadcasting equipment and services worldwide, and is a long-standing customer of EVS. The company has invested in a modular switcher panel and two IP-based servers from DYVI Live, the developer of the world’s first fully IT-based production suite.
“Gearhouse is committed to offering our customers the most advanced and cutting edge technology, and with DYVI solutions we allow them to reap the benefits of IP-based production,” said Kevin Moorhouse, COO, Gearhouse. “Backed by EVS’ exceptional reputation for reliable live production solutions, DYVI delivers an intuitive, ergonomic and customizable switcher that represents the next step in true real-time remote production.”
Using industry-standard hardware and optimized software, DYVI signals the end of traditional hardware-based production switchers and opens up broadcast production to a more flexible, IT-based world. Scalable Video Systems (SVS) in Weiterstadt, Germany, a company formed by a group of renowned production switcher experts, is the exclusive technology developer for the DYVI product line.
“With the DYVI IT-based production platform, Gearhouse enables remote production teams to manage large-scale live events as if they were on location,” said Joop Janssen, CEO, EVS. “Linked to the DYVI network, the production director can be located anywhere in the world and still have complete control of all key switcher functionality, making collaborative remote live production a reality.”
