What we do

The Federal and Flemish governments have been our clients for many years, and we support them in the ongoing modernization of their buildings and systems. Seven years ago, we fully automated the video systems in the Forum building, home to six committee rooms. This includes three rooms with 90 seats and three others with 65 seats, all enriched with multimedia for the press and visitors.

In the summer of 2023, the acoustics of the plenary hall in the Federal Parliament received a major upgrade thanks to our Lab. It was a tightly timed challenge, as the work could only take place during the summer recess.

What we used

The walls were fitted with acoustic panels, the ceiling was equipped with acoustic ‘clouds’, and the lighting was upgraded. This resulted in a significant improvement in audio quality.

During the summer recess of 2024, phase 2 was rolled out: all systems were replaced. Within just one month, all old systems were dismantled and removed, and the translation, voting, video, and audio systems were fully installed. A major innovation was the automation of these systems.

The technology for the translation system was upgraded to DANTE, and the video was upgraded to HD.

Finally, a fully equipped IT and server room was built. Thanks to this upgrade, the systems have now been made redundant, meaning back-ups are always available in case of system failures. If the system were to crash, laws or government agreements could no longer be voted on.
