Euros Brekky Wrap

Optus Sports

What we did

Following the cancellation of live programming in 2020, the Euros returned in full force in 2021 with 11 host cities, including Rome, Baku, Saint Petersburg, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. In this momentous return Optus Sports, Australia partnered with Gravity Media to produce a live studio programme for the 2020 Euros. Jules Breach and guests were live from Westminster Studio in London for a hour live breakfast show.

What we used

This production was part of a hybrid operation. Gravity Media were commissioned to set-up a three camera studio and provide additional technical crew including Technical Producer, Director/ VM, Sound Supervisors and Camera Operator. Presenter and guests were set up under covid safe parameters and the Gravity crew were in-studio communicating with the Australian based production team. Live feeds were sent across to the Optus Sports Australian production facility for added graphics and features before playout.

Outcome

The breakfast programme featured a beautiful backdrop of London and with this we had live incoming feeds from presenters at each of the venues and across the seas in Australia to give us fan reactions on the ground as we covered daily highlights from the tournament.
