JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT

ABOUT THE ROLE

​

A BRIEF SUMMARY

Based within our Watford Operation this person will work within the rental team in the warehouse. This person will report directly to the Operations Manager Rental. The role will require the individual to perform an array of functions, including receiving and processing incoming and outgoing equipment and cable. The role will require the person to have a good level of fitness, with a good work ethic, attention to detail and an ability to think on their feet.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Assist with loading and unloading of Gravity vans.
  • Scanning in of all equipment.
  • Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
  • Take equipment or cable to relevant storage areas.
  • Pick and prepare equipment and cable for upcoming rental jobs.
  • Ensure all equipment and cable are presented in satisfactory manner.
  • Ensure safe operational practices are undertaken.
  • Maintain physical condition of the warehouse, both racking, mezzanine, and warehouse floor.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

  • Adhering to our company H&S policy and ensuring that all company risk assessments are observed where applicable to your role, taking ownership of improvements and escalating concerns where necessary.

  • Contribute to the continual improvement of our management systems to ensure compliance with our legal obligations and maintain certification.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF

  • Using forklifts or other equipment such as barcode scanners.
  • Previous warehouse experience.
  • Managing received goods or goods for despatch.
  • Computer literacy, especially using excel and word.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable, a good timekeeper with high integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
