What we did
Giri/Haji – a title that roughly translates as Duty/Shame – is a BBC/Netflix collaboration. Gravity Media was engaged to supply offline edit facilities and support.
What we used
Gravity Media provided three Avid Media Composer systems, with shared storage and edit support at Gravity House on Frith Street.
Outcome
Giri/Haji is billed as a soulful thriller exploring the butterfly effect of a single murder across two cities. Set in Tokyo and London, the BBC describes it as a “dark, witty and daring examination of morality and redemption.”
The eight-part series aired on BBC Two in the UK in autumn 2019, and is also available on Netflix internationally.
