Commonwealth Games

What we did

This year’s Commonwealth Games were hosted in Birmingham where the Gravity Media team has captured the action from the international multi-sport event.

What we used

Over at the Smithfield location, the home of the beach volleyball and basketball 3×3 competitions during the Commonwealth Games, the Gravity team deployed unique Flypack Solutions for both events.

As thousands of spectators gather, Gravity aslo supplied RF Cameras, Hitachi cameras and venue-wide cameras on the roof of an adjacent building making sure not a moment of action is missed.

For each event, two of Gravity’s Speciality Camera Systems were deployed alongside two Kula vision mixers, and audio consoles which sent a Ravenna network to transport signals to the field of play.

This year’s Games kicked off on Thursday 28 July where the Gravity Media Equipment Rental team supported EMG with their Commonwealth Games production where they supplied 16 EVSs, box lenses and camera channels across various events including rugby, cricket, and swimming.

Outcome

The Games were very much a success where the city of Birmingham was praised for pulling off a memorable Commonwealth Games, with athletes and spectators having filled the city.

The Gravity Media team is delighted to have been a part of the Games, with a variety of Gravity Media’s services being used.
