Opened in 2023, our next-generation West London Production Centre at The WestWorks is one of Gravity Media’s flagship facilities. Designed as a creative and technology-leading media hub, the centre is built around a fully-fledge SMPTE 2110 IP media fabric, delivering exception scale, resilience and flexibility.

Spanning 38,000 square feet, the facility is equipped with best-in-class broadcast technology to support both on-premises and fully distributed remote production workflows. With diverse, high capacity connectivity via multiple ISPs and supported by a dedicated team of in-house engineers, the Production Centre is engineered for performance, reliability and innovation at the highest level.

A THRIVING WEST LONDON LOCATION

The Centre sits in one of West London’s most dynamic districts for 21st century media, technology and science. Set within the heart of White City Place the facility is surrounded by restaurants, gyms, hotels and serviced apartments, and is just a 10 minute walk from Westfield White City.

Excellent transport links place the centre within a five minute walk of White City and Wood Lane Underground stations, with multiple bus routes serving the area all making access easy for clients, crews and audiences alike.

Our West London Production Centre includes:

  • One of the largest MCRs in the UK, capable of handling approximately 500 incoming and 120 outgoing 1080p50 or 1080/59.94p feeds simultaneously, with circuits to multiple connectivity partners
  • 160sqm studio with audience capacity (opening Spring 2026)
  • 10 production control rooms, configured as 10-person and 6-person hubs, designed to support productions of all sizes and comfortably accommodate key personnel
  • 10 audio control rooms featuring Calrec Audio infrastructure, including Argo consoles, Artemis surfaces, ImPulse DSP cores, and the latest True Control 2.0 technology
  • 15 flexible control rooms of varying sizes for decentralised workflows, add-on functions or self-contained productions
  • 21 off-tube commentary booths, fully equipped for offtube commentary or voiceover, each with video and audio monitoring and production talkback
  • 4 vision control rooms fitted with UHD Grade 1 OLED monitors, with operational positions for Lighting Director, Console Operator and Vision Supervisor

Our state-of-the-art facility contains 10 dedicated sound control rooms with Calrec Audio infrastructure Argo consoles, Artemis surfaces and ImPulse DSP cores, as well as the latest iteration of Calrec’s True Control 2.0 technology, ensuring our clients are equipped with all the sophisticated technology needed to bring their productions to life.

We also offer 15 Flexible Control Rooms of varying sizes, for add-on decentralised functions or smaller self-contained productions.

Studio W12 forms part of Gravity Media’s expanding West London Production Centre.

The 160m2 studio offers a fully integrated space that works seamlessly alongside the wider capabilities of the Production Centre, providing an adaptable footprint suited to multi-camera productions, live or hybrid formats and fast-turnaround projects.

Studio W12 is fitted with full draping and chroma key solutions including: green screen drapes, coves, and flooring as well as black drapes for set masking, lighting control, and flexible studio configuration.  As part of the wider Gravity Media Production Centre, Studio W12 benefits from access to established broadcast infrastructure and workflows including:

  • UHD/HD Production capability
  • Large Production control rooms and galleries
  • Multi-operator EVS and graphics systems
  • Fully integrated talkback and communications
  • Flexible wall box connectivity for efficient rigging and rapid configuration changes

Connectivity

Gravity Media’s Production Centre is ideally placed in the centre of global hub of connectivity.

With access to fibre services from providers such as BT, TATA and Colt. Satellite downlink operations can be hosted from multiple ground stations including our facilities in Manchester, and our European colleagues in Hilversum, Netherlands and Vilvoorde, Belgium allowing a fully diverse operation. Multiple ISP providers are connected to the facility including AWS.

Gravity Media is proud to be a member of the TAP Activator scheme, an industry initiative championing full inclusion across Film and Television.

Our West London Production Centre has successfully completed the TAP audit, benchmarking the facility against a comprehensive best-practice framework. This includes accessibility across internal physical spaces and technical equipment, building access, signage, sanitary provision, hearing enhancement systems, and thoughtful adjustments to support neurodiverse visitors and staff, including sensory considerations.
