Snatch

THE PROJECT: 

To supply multiple Avid Media Composer suites networked to a central Avid Nexis Storage Solution, all installed in a suitable facility located in the heart of Manchester.

THE APPROACH:

Gravity Media – then branded HyperActive Broadcast – travelled to Manchester to install the Snatch production’s edit suites at The Old Granada Studios. We installed multiple suites, all linked to an Avid ISIS shared media storage chassis that was stress-tested onsite at Gravity Media to ensure a flawless performance while the editors were working their magic.

THE OUTCOME: 

Snatch, a series for Sony’s streaming network Crackle, and based on the cult 2000 movie of the same name that starred Jason Statham and Brad Pitt, was nominated for four National Film Awards in 2018: Best TV Drama Series; Best Actor; Best Supporting Actor; and Best Breakthrough Performance.

On 31 October 2019, the four leading broadcast and production houses Gearhouse Broadcast, Hyperactive Broadcast, Input Media and Chief Entertainment owned by Gravity Media Group started trading under the brand name of ‘Gravity Media’. All Gravity Media companies around the world are making this transition and will now go to market as a single brand with a bold new look and purpose.
