The 2022 Commonwealth Games are underway where Gravity Media continues to capture the action from the international multi-sport event hosted in Birmingham.
Over at the Smithfield location, the home of the beach volleyball and basketball 3×3 competitions during the Commonwealth Games, the Gravity team has deployed unique Flypack Solutions for both events. From studio productions to remote outside broadcasts, Gravity Media’s compact flypacks are designed to be taken to any location in the world. Containing everything needed to deliver complex high-definition multi-format broadcasts, the flypack set up is quick and easy.
As thousands of spectators gather, Gravity has deployed RF Cameras, Hitachi cameras and venue-wide cameras on the roof of an adjacent building making sure not a moment of action is missed.
For each event, two of Gravity’s Speciality Camera Systems have been deployed alongside two Kula vision mixers, and audio consoles which are sending a Ravenna network to transport signals to the field of play.
With the launch of this year’s Games which kicked off on Thursday 28 July, the Gravity Media Equipment Rental team are supporting EMG with their Commonwealth Games production where they have supplied 16 EVSs, box lenses and camera channels across various events including the rugby, cricket, and swimming.
