It has been an eventful weekend for Gravity Media. Our sister company Gearhouse Broadcast was busy in Madrid working with UEFA on the Champions League Final, and for those not interested in football, we had a HyperActive team helping out at the British Soap Awards on ITV.
Dubbed ‘the biggest night of the year in soap’, the event was broadcast live from the Lowry in Salford, hosted by Phillip Schofield and attended by a host of stars of the small screen.
It was a good night for Hollyoaks, which walked off with the public vote for Best British Soap and Best Actor and the panel vote for Villain of the Year and Best Male Dramatic Performance. Coronation Street also did well, picking up four wins too, as well as the Outstanding Achievement Award.
To get the show on the road, HyperActive provided ITV Studios with a comprehensive Avid and EVS Integration rig, which included three eight-channel XT3s, two Avid Media Composer suites and 20Tb of Avid NEXIS storage.
