What we did
The National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) are recognised as one of Australia’s most prominent Indigenous music awards and have been celebrating Australian music for 16 years. The NIMAs showcase the rich musical landscape of Australia and highlight the music coming from all corners of the country. Held annually under the stars at Darwin’s historic Amphitheatre, the NIMAs bring audiences from across Australia together to applaud the winners, enjoy the performances and soak up the ambiance of a night for music lovers of all ages and all cultures.
What we used
Gravity Media worked with NITV to facilitate the broadcast of this music awards show. Outside broadcast truck HD3 was on site in Darwin with a technical crew that provided camera, video, audio, and fibre facilities. The team provided a seven-camera setup including four HD cabled cameras (with one on a camera Jib), a RF portable camera, a RF Steadicam and a PTZ wide camera. The team also provided hosting operations including radio microphones and in-ear monitors (IEMs) for the three hosts and two compact shotgun condenser microphones. Gravity Media provided EVS and archive services, managed audio feeds, Comms and RF services, fibre allocation, TX path as well as SNG services.
Outcome
Gravity Media broadcast facilities and technical crew worked with NITV production team to facilitate the 2022 National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) broadcast live on NITV, SBS and is available to watch on SBS On Demand.
