What we did

A Gravity Media team was courtside at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami as 18 year-old tennis star Carlo Alcaraz became the youngest men’s champion in Miami Open history. Across the two-week tournament we delivered all the action to millions of viewers worldwide.

What we used

A combination of sea and air freight was sent across the Atlantic to facilitate the Miami Open for a variety of clients including ATP Media, WTA, Amazon and Tennis Channel. The technical facilities consisted of 38 Hitachi and Sony camera channels, 10 EVS XT3 servers, 3 Sony MVS vision mixers, 2 Lawo audio consoles and 2 Riedel Artist 128 frames. All this was glued togther using a fully populated Snell Cygnus 576 x 576 router.

Outcome

This comprehensive install captured over 150 hours of live tennis spread across 13 transmission days. Multiple production, audio and replay galleries were constructed to continously service 4 live courts for ATP media and all their international broadcasters. The 116 strong technical crew were on site to support, operate, engineer and successfully deliver this sizable project.
