Lawo Audio Systems Chosen for Gearhouse Broadcast New HD Outside Broadcast Tuck

Lawo have received an order from international broadcast solutions provider Gearhouse Broadcast to supply a Lawo mc²56 Digital Audio Consolefor their new state-of-the-art high definition outside broadcast unit which is currently being built for their Australian division, Gearhouse Broadcast Pty Limited.

The new HD5 unit was designed by Gearhouse Broadcast’s team of Senior Broadcast Engineers, and will be built and integrated at Gearhouse Broadcast UK head office in Hertfordshire.  The systems integration will take X weeks to complete and will include the latest in broadcast technology cameras, vision mixers, monitors, routers and glue products.

HD5 is 13.6m long and offers a flexible production space that features the latest HD and 3G technology.  The unit will easily accommodate 36 dedicated staff and will comprise of an expandable production area with comprehensive vision, engineering, VTR and audio areas.

Within HD5 Gearhouse Broadcast have installed a large 64 fader mc²56 Lawo consol with a complete redundant core and interconnection with Genelec supplying all the VT audio monitoring positions.

Based on the existing mc² technology, the mc²56 offers the Lawo HD core with up to 512 DSP channels, 144 summing buses and a routing capacity of up to 8,192 crosspoints. The complete functionality of the mc² series is available — including the transfer of snapshots within the mc² family, as well as dynamic automation and networking with other Lawo products.

The new desk offers the performance of the larger mc²90 and mc²66 consoles in a reduced surface with compact dimension
