At Gravity Media, we’ve supported the Asian Games since the turn of the century, participating in every edition from Busan 2002 to Jakarta Palembang 2018. Also known as the Asiad, the Asian Games is the second-largest multisport event after the Olympics, and is held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The next edition will be Hangzhou 2022 in China’s Zhejiang Province – the 19th running of the Games.

Multisport events are at the core of Gravity Media’s offering. Since the day we opened our doors, we’ve worked on some of the biggest events on the planet, supporting most of the organising committees and major sports federations, plus the media organisations that deliver content on their behalf. Helping host broadcasters and other partners bring high-quality content to billions of viewers worldwide, we’ve supplied equipment or personnel or a combination of the two, to create sophisticated workflows that can handle multiple feeds from multiple sports in multiple venues simultaneously.

Each Games operation requires careful planning and meticulous attention to detail, with the resulting solutions as comprehensive as they are cost-effective. Dozens of cameras, super slow-mo camera channels, specialist cameras and RF devices, alongside teams of Gravity Media production experts to provide onsite technical support. EVS systems, vision mixers, routers and video processors complete the hardware, and IP-based setups simplify cabling, installation and operation, allowing any camera, lens or accessory to be controlled via a range of protocols. Everything needed for flawless, uninterrupted live and near-live coverage.

Meanwhile, Gravity Media’s state-of-the-art Production Centres can oversee live world feed production, as well as fast-turnaround highlights, studio wraparounds, factual content and social media clips, as well as digital archive management and storage systems. We have unmatched experience in designing and building International Broadcast Centres and Technical Operations Centres, as well as installing the broadcast infrastructure within host-city stadia being built or redeveloped to host key events. Essentially, we offer the full spectrum of support to the Asiad, from equipment rental packages and permanent infrastructure build, to highly finessed editorial work requiring expert judgement and storytelling flair.

We brought this insight to life with a campaign starring a character made entirely of money, fast asleep. The campaign spanned three 30″ TV adverts, Out-of-Home (OOH) posters, and…
