  1. What is your favorite part / proudest moment at Gravity Media?

There is no doubt the Qatar World Cup was an absolute high. It was a proud moment as the Middle-East people battled against negative stereotypes and misconceptions to deliver a world-class global event. The local Qatar team delivered with such resilience and a can-do attitude as we integrated with people from all parts of the world to deliver history around us.

  1. What motivates you at work?

Delivering in out-of-comfort zone situations provides learned lessons and self-actualisation as that provides progression and development. Working as an overseas expat provides me with great opportunities to meet people from all over the world which provides extra energy and motivation.

  1. A tip for someone starting out in the broadcast industry?

Always stay curious, ask questions and don’t be afraid to make mistakes. The industry isn’t diverse enough, so we must collectively lower the social and economic barriers to provide a pathway to relevant roles in our exciting industry. In 2021, we connected with Qatar Foundation providing tens of opportunities to people with limited broadcast opportunities from their home country ie; Syria & Lebanon.
