Gravity Media Australia was invited to take part in the 2023 SVG Australia Summit, on Wednesday 9 August at the Telstra Customer Insight center in Sydney. This year Gravity Media featured three guest speakers at the event, Ian Stokes – Director of Engineering, Adrian Jenner – Director of Technology, and Kahleah Webb – Head of Operations.
The 2023 SVG Australia Summit was timed to coincide with the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, one of the most exciting events on the 2023 sports calendar. Sports production professionals from around the world as well as across Australia took part in event, giving it a unique global perspective. The event took a look inside the World Cup production as well as some of the key technologies driving the sports production industry forward.
There were six sessions throughout the afternoon with speakers from Google, FIFA, Amazon, Puma and Telstra, just to mention a few.
Kahleah Webb joined the panel on “Finding the Next Generation of Production Talent.” The panel discussed the challenge of identifying great talent and, more importantly, training them and making them feel like a career in sports production is where they want to be.
Adrian Jenner joined the panel on “How Will the Cloud Change Production?” The panel discussed the move to live cloud production, considerations before making the leap, and working in a hybrid model.
Ian Stokes joined the panel on “Global Perspectives in Sports Production.” The panel discussed the key trends that are improving sports production around the world. How are they producing their content? and What are key considerations for the future with respect to remote production?
Gravity Media had a strong presence at the event with several senior team members in attendance.
The event concluded with a networking reception where guests were invited to stick around and catch up with industry colleagues and enjoy drinks and canapés. Thank you to SVG for organizing another fantastic event.
