The Gravity Media team was in Darwin for Round 5 and 6 of the Supercars Championships servicing the world feed and Fox Sports’ unilateral. The team provided all of the technical broadcast facilities with almost 12 hours of practice, qualifying and racing broadcast live and advertisement free exclusively on Fox Sports 506 across the two-day event.
Scott McLaughlin holds a 101-point lead over Jamie Whincup following the BetEasy Darwin Triple Crown, with Chaz Mostert best-of-the-rest in third, 210 away from the lead. You can watch the highlights from Darwin here.
Everyone will now compete in their very own ‘canon-ball run’ as they fly to Townsville for Rounds 7 and 8 including all race teams and outside broadcast trucks. In just 30 hours, the crew will need to travel a distance of over 2,504kms across the ‘top end’ where the crew will have to complete a full rig around the streets of Townsville CBD which is usually afforded in a six day rig, however, this will now be compressed to three and a half days in time for rehearsals.
