Watford, UK, 26 March 2019– Gearhouse Broadcast, the Gravity Media-owned supplier of technical facilities, crew and services used to capture the world’s most watched content, has partnered with CyanView to provide a fully controllable mini-camera service. The affordable Cy-Stem solution is ideal for live sports and reality TV productions and has already been successfully deployed by Gearhouse at the 2018 Asian Games football tournament in Indonesia.

Cy-Stem is a universal camera control system developed by Belgian-based CyanView to improve and simplify broadcast workflows. It integrates with speciality cameras to control, enhance and scale productions. The IP-based solution simplifies cabling so is easy to install and operate and can control any camera, lens or accessory via a range of protocols.

“The system was a real gamechanger for us at the Asian Games because it’s so robust and could be configured remotely. This makes it a viable option to use on productions with smaller budgets that want to enhance their quality of their output,” said Michael Colyer, Head of Specialist Cameras at Gearhouse Broadcast. “We’re now phasing out our existing RCPs and replacing them with CyanView’s Cy-Stem because of the benefits and additional value it offers.”

David Bourgeois, Founder of CyanView added: “The Cy-Stem has been carefully designed to save on time, money and resources while delivering an enhanced broadcast production with previously unattainable footage and unparalleled image quality. With Gearhouse’s global reach and in-house expertise, we’re now able to reach a far wider market.”
