As one of our engineers, Andy is responsible for installing and supporting complex Avid systems integrated with EVS networks at major live events all over the world.
Andy is a highly respected key member of our technical team, with a vast knowledge of Avid and post-production workflows.
With a degree in Screen Studies & Creative Writing, Andy started his career as a TV production technician at his old university, Liverpool John Moores. He then moved to Visual Impact as a post-production hire technician, where he stayed for two years before moving to Australia. A year later and back in the UK, Andy joined Onsight, where he began working in an OB environment, before moving to Gravity Media in 2016.
In his time at Gravity Media, Andy has developed an enviable knowledge of EVS-based operating systems. Combined with his existing Avid experience, this has allowed him to delve deeper in the world of Avid EVS integration, expanding his knowledge to become one our superstars of technical support.
Andy’s career highlight to date is his first solo deployment, working on the high-profile Australian Open tennis. His confidence and abundant ability ensured it was the first solo job of many. Not all of our project involve sport. Recently Andy has engineered a vast location post facility for Channel 4’s The Circle.
