One of the all-time film and TV classics returned to our screens over the festive season, with the first episode of the BBC’s new mini-series Dracula airing on BBC One on New Year’s Day.

It’s 1897, and the blood-drinking Count has grown tired of Transylvania and draws his plans against Victorian London. A familiar story, but this time with a twist: creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss decided make Dracula “the hero of his own story” – the central focus of the narrative rather than a shadowy villain for more traditional heroes to overcome.

Post-production for the series took place at Gravity House on Frith Street, Soho from June to August last year. All three episodes are currently available on iPlayer and Netflix.
