HyperActive and NEP have continued to support ITV’s coverage of the UK horse racing season with a trip to Royal Ascot.
Running from Tuesday 18 to Saturday 22 June, Ascot is famed for magnificent horses, daft hats and the presence of royalty. Over the five-day event, some 300,000 people made the trip to Berkshire to see some of the world’s top racing figures compete in 30 individual races worth millions of pounds in prize money.
Frankie Dettori rode a total of seven winners this year, which made him top jockey at the meeting for the sixth time, helping cement his legendary status in the sport. Meanwhile, the five-year old bay Blue Point completed a rare double, adding Saturday’s Diamond Jubilee Stakes to Tuesday’s win in the King’s Stand Stakes. It’s the first time a double has happened at Ascot since 2012.
HyperActive engineers were onsite throughout the week supporting a suite of Adobe Premiere Pro Creative Cloud solutions. NEP also rented a number of Canon HJ14 wide-angle lenses for the event, which they’ll hang on to for their coverage of The Glyndebourne Festival in July. The HJ14 is the new and improved successor to the HJ11 – the most popular HDTV wide-angle lens in the world, known for its outstanding optical performance and ease of operation.
