Gearhouse Broadcast appoints John Williams as Head of Projects

~ Sports production engineering expert to oversee department’s technical and commercial performance and growth ~

Watford, UK, 2 July 2019 – Gearhouse Broadcast, the Gravity Media-owned supplier of technical facilities, crew and services used to capture the world’s most watched content, has appointed John Williams as Head of Projects. In his new role, John will oversee the technical and commercial performance of the Projects department and make a strategic contribution to overall business growth.

 

John brings 20 years of industry experience to the role and joins Gearhouse from Input Media, one of Europe’s leading sports production companies and a fellow subsidiary or Gravity Media Group. As Director of Technical Operations at Input Media, he played an integral part in delivering major productions, including the FA Cup and the French Open. Prior to that, John was Head of Production Technology and Technical Coordinator, having progressed in the company from his first engineering role as a VTR operator in 2001. His broadcast career began as a runner in the West End in 1999.

 

Of his new role, John said: “I have worked closely with Gearhouse for several years to deliver major sports productions with Input Media, so I’m thrilled to be taking on this role in the company.
