In preparation for the show, Gravity Media – then branded HyperActive Broadcast – teamed up with Evolutions Post to design and supply all the necessary workflows and post-production hardware necessary to capture the action, and in turn ingest all the captured media ready for editing.


We provided 16 x Avid Media Composer Nitris DX suites, along with 192TB RAW storage on Avid ISIS 5000 Series Storage Engines. The setup came complete with Synology NAS disk stations for backup and full redundancy.


The whole job went without a hitch, and the show went on to win two awards: a BAFTA for Best Reality and Constructed Factual, and an RTS Television Award for Best Popular, Factual and Features.


On 31 October 2019, the four leading broadcast and production houses Gearhouse Broadcast, Hyperactive Broadcast, Input Media and Chief Entertainment owned by Gravity Media Group started trading under the brand name of ‘Gravity Media’. All Gravity Media companies around the world are making this transition and will now go to market as a single brand with a bold new look and purpose.
