 THE PROJECT:

To supply multiple Avid Media Composer suites networked to a central Avid Nexis Storage Solution. Normally a fairly straightforward task, but on this occasion the location was in the heart the Ecuadorian jungle literally miles from civilisation.

 THE APPROACH:                                                                                                                                     

We set off for Ecuador to follow the Special Air Service and the 29 candidates into the rainforest, where the majority of the selection process took place.

We not only assisted in moving kit through the jungle, but also used our networking and kit management expertise to assemble Gravity Media – then branded HyperActive Broadcast – top-of-the-line equipment under difficult environmental conditions.

THE OUTCOME:

We successfully oversaw several edits while making sure the show’s live record was captured without issue, and while also watching out for snakes and spiders!
