THE CUSTOMER

The Fédération Internationale de Hockey is commonly known as the FIH, and is the international governing body of field hockey and indoor field hockey. Headquartered in Lausanne, Switzerland, the FIH is responsible for all major international tournaments – most notably the World Cup.

THE PROJECT

As with many other sports federations and sports rights-owners, the FIH needed to respond to the demand for higher-quality digital live streaming production within a competitive pricing model, and was interested in looking at new methods of delivery to live stream all its worldwide events.

THE APPROACH

By combining live streaming services from our Production Centre in West London with a state-of-the art digital archive service, Gravity Media – then branded Input Media –  provided the FIH with a cost-effective and robust solution to suit its growing requirements.

THE OUTCOME

Gravity Media has supported the FIH’s needs with a flexible and professional solution since 2013. We’re just one part of a complicated broadcast chain, but by looking after all its streaming needs, we’re playing our part in allowing the FIH to concentrate on raising the global status and popularity of the sport.

INPUT MEDIA HAS BECOME GRAVITY MEDIA

On 31 October 2019, the four leading broadcast and production houses Gearhouse Broadcast, Hyperactive Broadcast, Input Media and Chief Entertainment owned by Gravity Media Group started trading under the brand name of ‘Gravity Media’. All Gravity Media companies around the world are making this transition and will now go to market as a single brand with a bold new look and purpose.
