Cricket Australia (CA) is the national governing body for cricket in Australia. Its vision is for cricket to be Australia’s favourite sport – and a sport for all Australians – with its purpose to inspire everyone to love the game. 


With more and more sport being viewed online, via apps or on smart devices, demand for higher-quality digital live-streamed production continues to grow.

For the 2017/2018 season, CA engaged Input Media Australia to deliver a live-streaming solution that offered high-end, broadcast-quality production for a variety of cricket events, including the Women’s Big Bash League T20, JLT domestic One-Day Cup matches, the Sheffield Shield Final, and the first ever Women’s day/night Ashes Test.


Gravity Media – then branded Input Media – Australia delivered against this goal by combining our production and technical expertise with sister-company Gearhouse Broadcast’s equipment and facilities, affording Cricket Australia a comprehensive and cost-effective solution – from venue to screen across all media platforms.

Covering over 110 matches contested nation-wide in more than 30 separate venues, our teams offered versatile support across CA’s various match formats, and ensured viewers could access live-streaming content at a broadcast level of production and editorial quality.


In February 2018, CA reported that its digital platform, Cricket Network Australia, was the number one digital sports destination across the summer. CA’s digital audience increased by 19% in December to 2.94 million, while video views increased by 60% globally. Streaming views and minutes watched increased by an incredible 100% over the season, while overall subscriptions increased 60% year on year.

Cricket Australia and Gravity Media Australia continue to share a vision for fresh thinking and the application of non-traditional production solutions to further advance their approach to fan engagement and content distribution. On 31 October 2019, the four leading broadcast and production houses Gearhouse Broadcast, Hyperactive Broadcast, Input Media and Chief Entertainment owned by Gravity Media Group started trading under the brand name of ‘Gravity Media’. All Gravity Media companies around the world are making this transition and will now go to market as a single brand with a bold new look and purpose.
