THE CUSTOMER

AIBA is a sport organisation that sanctions amateur (Olympic-style) boxing matches, and awards world and subordinate championships. AIBA organises The World Series of Boxing – or WSB – an international boxing tournament that allows amateur boxers to compete professionally while maintaining amateur status and Olympic eligibility.

THE PROJECT

AIBA World Series of Boxing was looking for a partner to support its individual host broadcast coverage of events globally. It wanted to provide English-language commentary and graphics to all the feeds, and then live stream them to territories where their rights had not been sold exclusively to broadcasters.

THE APPROACH

Gravity Media's – then branded Input Media – Production Centre provides the venue for this project, making available our extensive network of broadcast commentators, multiple VO booths and significant fibre and satellite connectivity, plus a talented team of designers to deliver fresh and dynamic graphics for the shows. We access fights from Europe, Americas and Asia via satellite, produce and then encode the content, and deliver it to the Grabyo platform for Facebook live streaming and live clips and post-produced clips for Twitter.

THE OUTCOME

Gravity Media has become a trusted partner of the AIBA WSB since 2013. We continue to provide a one-stop-shop solution for WSB’s digital production and streaming requirements, demonstrating flexibility and creativity to support AIBA’s evolving needs.

On 31 October 2019, the four leading broadcast and production houses Gearhouse Broadcast, Hyperactive Broadcast, Input Media and Chief Entertainment owned by Gravity Media Group started trading under the brand name of ‘Gravity Media’.
