Powercor Stawell Gift

What we do

The Powercor Stawell Gift is the oldest and most lucrative foot race in Australia. Gravity Media again provided up to 30 hours over three days of live broadcast for the Seven Network. Run on grass, the race has been held since 1878 in the country town of Stawell, some three hours from Melbourne, nestled at the foot of the Grampians National Park.

What we used

The production undertaking for the Powercor Stawell Gift included 15 cameras and state of the art high definition outside broadcast and production trucks. In addition to delivering all broadcast technologies and as “host” broadcast company, Gravity Media was also the television production company for the event, creating, producing, and delivering the complete television production of the Powercor Stawell Gift.

Outcome

Working with Stawell Gift Event Management, 360 Sport and Entertainment and the Seven Network, Gravity Media Australia delivered the complete broadcast of this year’s Powercor Stawell Gift. This was Gravity Media’s eighth year at the Powercor Stawell Gift which was broadcast on the Seven Network on 1 April, and events across the Easter Weekend on 7+.
