It was another hat-trick for Gravity Media’s outside broadcast truck, Pictor, after it was deployed by our team at The Production Centre in London to cover the latest Garuda Select fixtures for MOLA TV.
Garuda Select is sponsored by Garuda Indonesia, the state airline, and is part of a programme to improve football talent in the country. The touring players benefit from playing strong academy teams in the UK and Italy with some of them attracting the interest of professional European clubs. Many are already social media stars back home and the live streams on Mola TV always generate a strong audience.
The latest round of games kicked off on Friday 9 April 2021 with Pictor on site at Evesham Football Club in Worcestershire as Cheltenham’s U18 played Garuda Select, a game which ended in a 2-2 draw. This was followed by the Swindon U18 vs Garuda Select friendly on Tuesday 13 April, which saw Swindon win 1-0.
The Gravity Media team carried on the momentum as the tourists faced QPR’s U18 team on Saturday 17 April. This time Garuda Select prevailed with an emphatic 5-1 victory.
