The W-League was established in 2008 by Football Federation Australia and is the top-division women’s soccer league in Australia.
The W-League soccer league kicked off on Tuesday 29 December and the Gravity Media team has been busy covering the action for Fox Sports using outside broadcast truck RoVa 1. RoVa has been designed, built and integrated to the highest standards bringing operational and technical advantages to productions, in a comfortable working environment.
Due to the global pandemic causing changing border restrictions between the various states and territories the National competition is working one week in advance. Unfortunately, some matches are either being postponed or cancelled. However, the Gravity Media team continues to work hard to re-organise facilities and crew at short notice.
With the rise of Women’s Football, in 2020 Gravity Media partnered with Atalanta Media, the women’s football company devoted to elevating the sport and its players, expands the global audience for the women’s game and brings together the best action from across Europe.
The collaboration builds upon Gravity Media’s established football production portfolio which includes the last two editions of the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the development of the first ever highlights show for The Football Association Women’s Super League on the BBC.
