The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship season has finally returned to the track at Sydney Motorsport Park for the Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight last weekend!
It has been 104 days since Supercars last raced in Townsville due to the COVID-19 restrictions in Australia, almost as long as the 125–day gap during the 2020 lockdown. But now the drivers are back in action for a four week-long motorsport event, before building up to the finale which will take place at Bathurst.
The races for Round 11 kicked off from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st October and will be the first of four consecutive jam-packed weekends of the drivers going back-to-back at Sydney Motorsport Park – only this time, four of the races were held at night under lights!
Since the championship’s inception in 1960, only 12 of 1074 races had been held under lights before the weekend.
For this continued season of Supercars, Gravity Media is providing a complete outside broadcast solution using our outside broadcast truck, HD5, along with an outstanding crew force and full camera coverage of the event, giving you an incredible experience of the races at every turn!
Gravity Media also provided all the in-car camera systems in the Supercars, allowing viewers to get an up-close look at the drivers in action during the broadcast.
The events are broadcast live each weekend on Fox Sports and the Seven Network and streamed via Kayo.
